  • Shielding Effectiveness Test

    Keystone Compliance

Shielding effectiveness testing determines the ability of material to reduce the electromagnetic field in a space by blocking the field with barriers made of conductive and/or magnetic materials. Shielding effectiveness testing can be applied to a broad range of radio frequencies. Electromagnetic Shielding is typically applied to both enclosures and cables. The shielding can reduce the coupling or radio waves, electromagnetic fields and electrostatic fields. The amount of reduction can vary based on the material used, its thickness, the size of the shielded volume and the frequency of the fields of interest. Also impacting the effectiveness of the shielding is the size, shape and orientation or apertures in a shield to an incident electromagnetic field. Electromagnetic shielding that blocks radio frequency electromagnetic radiation is also known as RF Shielding.

  • High Impedance Active Probes

    7 - Picoprobe

Designed as a companion probe to Models 12C and 18C for driving integrated circuit lines so the Model 12C and 18C can be used to measure the response of adjacent nodes. The Model 7 consists of a flexible 6 foot, 50 ohm coaxial cable accurately terminated to 50 ohms in order to avoid undesirable reflections. A special miniature connector receives replacement coaxial probe tips that provide a shielded environment to within 3 mm of the fine tungsten probe point, thus minimizing capacitive coupling to other parts of the circuit. The replaceable coaxial probe tips are offered in various point sizes and can also be bent to any shape in order to accommodate a variety of probing geometries.

  • High-Density 128-CH Isolated DIO/DI/DO PCI Cards

    PCI-7442/7443/7444 - ADLINK Technology Inc.

Responding to the industry"s need for high-density digital input/output modules, the ADLINK PCI-7442/7443/7444 DIO card series delivers up to 128 opto-isolated channels for a wide range of demanding PCI-based applications. The PCI-7442/7443/7444 series comes with 64 (PCI-7442) or 128 (PCI-7443) opto-isolated digital inputs and 64 (PCI-7442) or 128 (PCI-7444) opto-isolated digital outputs. With a 1250 VRMS (excluding cables) channel-to-system isolation protection, these cards are shielded from damage caused by accidental contact with external voltage while promoting simple ground connections. All input channels are identical non-polarity with each line isolated and suited to collect digital inputs even at high-noise environments. Featuring a Change-of-State (COS) interrupt function, the PCI-7442/PCI-7443 instantly generates an interrupt request to the PCI controller when it detects a sharp change in the logical state of any of its digital inputs.

  • Active Monopole Antenna

    AM-741 - Com-Power Corporation

The 41 inch Monopole antenna is required for making electric field emission measurements below 60 MHz per Military standards (MIL-STD-461) and FAA (DO-160) specifications. This antenna is for emissions measurements only. It cannot be used for transmitting. The Active Monopole antenna is generally used in a shielded room or in a screen room, with the equipment under test (EUT) placed on a metal ground plane. The 41 inch rod and the ground plane behave electrically as though a mirror image of the rod were located below the ground, and the ground removed. Since the stainless steel plate does not have enough surface area to mirror the entire 41 inch rod, it is bonded to the surrounding ground plane during use. The AM-741 is battery powered to prevent measurement errors that maybe caused by external power cables. The ANSI equivalent capacitance substitution (ECSM) method is the recommended method for calibrating AM-741 monopole antenna. The individual calibration data will be included with each antenna.

  • Shield Level / Pathloss Equipment

    SG1000B/PR1000A - Praxsym

The SG1000 Signal Generator and PR1000A Preamplifier have been designed to simplify the measurement of shielding integrity in a shielded enclosure. When coupled with a high stability spectrum analyzer and an appropriate selection of test antennas, the SG1000/PR1000A combination can measure shielding effectiveness at all of the NSA 94-106 (supersedes NSA 65-6) defined test frequencies from 1 kHz to 10 GHz.The PR1000A amplifies the received signal from the test antenna and overcomes the high noise figure of the companion test receiver or spectrum analyzer. The PR1000A will ensure that the system noise figure will be less than 4.5 dB at all test frequencies from 1 kHz to 10 GHz. When used with a spectrum analyzer measurement bandwidth of 100 Hz, the system exhibits a sensitivity of -150 dBm at the test antenna output. To overcome high cable loss between the test antenna and the PR1000A assembly at 10 GHz, a remote low noise pre-amplifier (Praxsym PN 310-010091-001) is mounted directly onto the 10 GHz antenna.
